TRON Resource Rental Guide: Energy & Bandwidth

TRON has two rentable resources: Energy and Bandwidth. Here's the difference and how to rent them.

Energy

Used for smart-contract calls, mainly USDT (TRC20) transfers. A standard transfer needs ~64,400 energy. Frequent USDT senders should rent energy first.

Bandwidth

Used for plain transfers and TRC10 tokens. TRX transfers ~200–350 bandwidth; TRC10 ~280. TRC20 transfers also need a little bandwidth.

Rental tips

Estimate total = per-transfer need × count, rent in one go; confirm energy goes to the paying address; pay via web3 wallet, not exchange withdrawal.
